Nothing is Greater Than Love Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students, teachers, and schools by removing barriers to learning and promoting safe, supportive educational environments. The Foundation focuses on meeting both academic and social-emotional needs of students, with an emphasis on access, equity, and prevention.

The organization provides essential school suppliesto students and educators, helping classrooms remain properly equipped and ensuring children are prepared to learn regardless of financial circumstances. By supporting teachers with critical classroom resources, the Foundation helps reduce out-of-pocket expenses for educators and strengthens overall classroom effectiveness.

In addition to material support, Nothing is Greater Than Love Foundation delivers student safety workshops designed to educate and empower youth. These workshops focus on age-appropriate safety awareness, personal responsibility, and decision-making skills that help students navigate school and community environments more confidently and safely.

Through partnerships with schools, educators, and community stakeholders, Nothing is Greater Than Love Foundation works to create positive, lasting impact for students, especially those in underserved communities. The organization is committed to fostering educational success, well-being, and a culture rooted in compassion, dignity, and opportunity for all children.

Dr. Phyllis Smolens Hon D.H

Phyllis Smolens is a devoted wife, mother, mentor, and servant leader whose life is rooted in love, laughter, and service. Alongside her husband, Greg, she co-founded Experienced Hearts, an event planning company with a mission of giving back, dedicating 10% of its revenue to support local schools, teachers, and students in need. Her passion for empowering youth also led her to serve as a mentor for young girls through MentorKids in Arizona, helping inspire and guide the next generation. She is also honored to have received an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities in recognition of her dedication to service and community impact.

Phyllis’s commitment to community extends through her work with Habitat for Humanity, holiday meal distributions, and as co-founder of the Valley of the Sun Charity Foundation now known as Nothing is Greater Than Love Foundation. Whether supporting education, mentoring youth, or strengthening families, Phyllis is dedicated to creating meaningful change and uplifting communities through compassion, generosity, and purpose.

Dr. Debra Sledge Hon D.H.

Debbie Sledge is a radiant voice of unity, love, and empowerment. Since the 1970s, she has inspired audiences around the world as a vocalist and recording artist, lifting spirits through the timeless music of Sister Sledge. With global anthems like We Are Family, He's the Greatest Dancer, Lost

in Music, and Thinking of You, Debbie's voice continues to bring people together in joy and harmony.

Beyond the stage, Debbie's heart shines even brighter. She has a deep love for youth, education, and mentorship, believing that every child deserves encouragement, opportunity, and a nurturing environment in which to learn and grow. Through her outreach, she has supported educational initiatives, uplifted youth, and inspired students with the message that they are seen, valued, and capable of greatness.

In 2015, Debbie co-created the blog Nothing Is Greater Than Love with her sisters, offering encouragement and empowerment, especially for women. She has stood on the front lines of change with organizations such as CARE International's Walk In Her Shoes march and the United Nations' UNITE to End Violence Against Women campaign. She also extends her compassion through work with Extreme Love Missions, SOS Children's Villages,and ActionAid UK, bringing hope and healing to children, women, and vulnerable communities around the world.

Deb bie Sledge is more than an accomplished artist-she is a champion for children and families, a voice for

education, a force of love, and a beacon of

empowerment. Her life affirms that when music and compassion unite, the impact reaches far beyond the stage, touching hearts and shaping brighter futures.

Bobbie Bennett

I have been an avid photographer for many years and I treat my clients with excellent customer service due to my extensive background in the hospitality industry. I belong to the Arizona Photographer Adventure Club and a member in various groups such as Foothill’s Women’s Club, eWomen, Heartlink, Empowering Women of Phoenix and Girlfriend Guide for Wild Boomer Women. I graduated ASU as an Event Planner and have an extensive background in Charity events. Producer of Queen Diva of The Year and Creator of The Kids Kooking Class. My volunteer experience includes a Docent at the Tempe Museum, an active Certified Tourism Ambassador for the State of Arizona, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Channel Eight (KAET) pledge drives and Editor/Publisher of The Beaver Valley Bulletin. And currently, proud to hold the position of Co-Founder Valley Of The Sun Charity Foundation.

My personal goal is to surround myself with women who lead from their hearts, value people and make an impact not just in our community but in the world!

When I’m not volunteering with Valley of the Sun Charity events I’m performing as a Stand up Comedian and now an author.

Her extensive experience includes serving in advisory board roles, where she has helped design and implement programs that promote health, wellness, and community engagement.

An accomplished triathlete and runner, Shawna combines athletic excellence with a deep commitment to empowering others. As a Sports Ambassador, she actively advocates for fitness accessibility and community involvement, encouraging individuals of all ages to embrace healthy lifestyles.
